| Channel 22 to display new look Oct. 12 |
The old TV22 was a glorified PowerPoint presentation. The new TV22, slated to air preview October 12, will sport high school calendars, video and tickers across the bottom of the screen in multi-display fashion, much like the Network WV’s channel two. Mayor Michael Mullen, of Marietta, will ‘flip the switch’ on the new software, 10 a.m. in B208.
The best part of the implementation of this new software is the opportunity it brings students. According to Troy Devol, digital technology/media faculty, these opportunities are boundless.
“This new software will enhance the student learning experience and give them the opportunity to showcase their work and talent,” Devol said.
The digital technology program at Washington State currently has nine dual-booting MACS, with the potential for 16 more if grant funding prevails. There are many updates in store for the technology driven program.
The addition of Devol to the program at Washington State has many teeming with excitement. Not only does he have a wealth of real world experience, his energy and enthusiasm will likely equate excellent learning opportunities for his students.
