WHAT: Students, staff members, and clubs at WSCC have been collecting one gallon jugs of water for those in need in West Virginia. After the recent chemical spill near Charleston, many people in the Mid Ohio Valley wanted to find a way to reach out and help our friends in West Virginia. The collection ends at 10:00am on Friday, February 14th. At 10:30am the water will be loaded into trucks and taken to Twisted Sisters Boutique in Marietta, Ohio, where it will then be transferred to people affected by the chemical spill West Virginia. Around 600 gallons of water will be donated.

gary williamsWashington State Community College (WSCC) is proud to introduce Gary Williams as the new Executive Director for Foundation and Grant Development. The Foundation provides scholarships and funds for students seeking higher education through WSCC. Williams brings a lot to the table as the new Executive Director. His previous experience as the Director of Community Outreach has given him a lot of insight into students at WSCC as well as the community as a whole. Through the Outreach Program, Gary was able to help low income and first generation college students seek scholarships and succeed in school. He hopes to continue these efforts and receive even more support from the community. Williams believes that "everyone deserves access to higher education" and he sees the Foundation as a way to make that dream a reality.
