According to, the drilling of a single well requires up to 140 employees working in approximately 150 occupations. More than 50 percent of those occupations require less than a four-year degree. Washington State already contributes substantially to the state, regional, and local economies by offering a wide variety of non-credit and credit certificate and degree programs to support the oil and gas workforce.

Dee Standish, with WSCC's Outreach program, asked two of Washington State's AmeriCorps guides, Audrey Hayes and Michael LaTorre, to speak with Lions Club about their work on campus. "The mission of Outreach is college, career and technical access for students in Meigs, Morgan, Noble and Washington counties," says Standish. "AmeriCorps College Guides on campus help assist in access for those students."

HINO-studentsThis morning, Washington State Community College (WSCC) President Bradley Ebersole, along with fellow administration and students from Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Tech Prep, completed a tour with Hino Motors in Williamstown, WV. Stephen Stalnaker, General Manager and Justin Wager, Assistant General Manager of Production conducted the tour throughout the Hino facility.
