MARIETTA, Ohio (April 28, 2015) –In an effort to realign its operations and focus on its core mission, Washington State Community College (WSCC) announces that it will discontinue the operation of its two auxiliary enterprises, the Evergreen Child Development Center and the WSCC Bookstore.  The College is actively seeking new providers to take over the operation of both areas.  Without a new provider, the Evergreen Child Development Center will close June 26, 2015 while the WSCC bookstore will remain open until a third-party operator is identified.  This announcement comes less than two weeks after the WSCC Board of Trustees approved a budget for fiscal year 2016 which supports a renewed focus on the core mission of the College.

MARIETTA, Ohio (April 24, 2015) – The Washington State Community College Foundation held the 8th Tina K. Schaad Memorial Scholarship Cake Auction on Tuesday, April 21.  Local bakers donated more than 25 creative cake and baked goods.  There were also non-baked goods donated for a silent auction.

The program was created to recognize those students that strive for success by overcoming obstacles and committing to complete their education. WSCC has selected Heather Elliott for recognition as the April Student of the Month.
