Spring Open House for High School Seniors & Parents
Current high school seniors and their parents are invited to Washington State Community College's (WSCC) Spring Open House this Sunday, April 1 at 1 p.m. This event gives students the opportunity to explore all that WSCC has to offer, in terms of academic programs and transfer opportunities.
"This is a great opportunity for high school seniors, especially if they are unsure of what they'll be doing after graduation or where they'll be going to college," says Carrie Thrash, assistant director of admissions.
Whether a student is interested in a certificate, two-year degree, or four-year degree, there are quality programs available at WSCC to achieve higher education. Participants in the Spring Open House also get the chance to speak with current students about their experiences at WSCC and meet faculty members during academic preview sessions.
"We'll also hold a financial aid workshop during the open house," adds Thrash. "Staff will be available to walk students through the process of applying for financial aid using the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)."
High school seniors can register for the Spring Open House by contacting Admissions at 740.568.1900 or by visiting www.wscc.edu/openhouse. The Spring Open House is held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 1 in the Arts & Sciences Building on the WSCC campus at 710 Colegate Drive.
