johnson-resizedthompson-ruthCongressman Bill Johnson and State Representative Andy Thompson recently visited Washington State Community College on separate occasions. Both men came to promote entrepreneurial principles and provide business advice, speaking with students in Elizabeth Ruth's Small Business and Entrepreneurship class. Thompson visited on Thursday, March 28th. He explained how participating in his family business gave him the opportunity to develop valuable leadership skills.

On April 2 Johnson also met with Ruth's class, where he discussed his post-military foray into the business world. He described his humble beginnings, stating "I didn't start off in the halls of Congress. I didn't start off as a businessman. I started off on a two-wheel wagon rut mule farm on the cotton and tobacco fields of North Carolina."
