WSCC Foundation Holds Scholarship Recognition Reception

Through Donors the Foundation Offers Over $82,000 Annually in Student Scholarships

The Washington State Community College (WSCC) Foundation recently held its Scholarship Recognition Reception; 26 students were awarded over 40 scholarships various scholarships. The WSCC Foundation has considerably grown since its inception in 2004; the annual ceremony recognizing scholarship recipients has been held since 2005.

"WSCC is extremely grateful to the Foundation Board for their dedication in raising these funds and to the donors themselves for their wonderful generosity. Those that benefit are our students who are working so very hard to achieve their goals. The benefit is direct and immediate" commented Dr. Bradley Ebersole, President of Washington State Community College.

Scholarships awarded differ in dollar amounts and award frequency; different scholarships may be merit-based, academic-based, need-based, or a combination of the three. Some scholarships are reserved for students studying in a particular field or fields.
