WSCC to Host Free College Financial Aid Help From Local Experts at College Goal Sunday Event
Seeking financial aid can be a stressful process for people of all ages. Whether you are a parent helping your high school student prepare for college or someone seeking to further your education later in life, all of the paperwork can be intimidating. Fortunately, Washington State Community College (WSCC) is here to help community members navigate the financial aid field. The financial aid experts at WSCC are hosting College Goal Sunday, a free event where professionals can help you complete the 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The event is open to the public and will be held on Sunday, February 9th at 2:00pm on the WSCC campus. Registration can be completed before the event at 1:30 pm or anytime online at www.ohiocollegegoalsunday.org/.
The majority of colleges and universities require students to submit a completed copy of the FAFSA by the end of March if a student wishes to receive financial aid for the upcoming school year. College Goal Sunday is designed to help students meet the deadlines for their college of choice. Whether you are a student, or the parent of a student, this is your opportunity to receive free one on one help from a financial aid expert. Participants need to bring their Social Security card, Driver's License, and 2013 tax information or their 2013 W2s. With this information, the WSCC financial aid experts can help you complete your FAFSA and keep you on track to receive financial aid from your school of choice.
This is the only College Goal Sunday event hosted within a 60 mile radius of Marietta, Ohio. Make sure that you take advantage of this free and convenient opportunity to submit your FAFSA for the 2014-2015 academic year.
