On Saturday March 3, Washington State Community College  (WSCC) President Dr. Bradley Ebersole participated in the awards banquet of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) statewide meeting held in Newark, Ohio. Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society of two-year colleges and academic programs.

Washington State Community College (WSCC) will showcase the creativity, talent, and dedication of its current and former art students with the premiere of the WSCC Student and Alumni Art Show on Friday, March 30 at the Parkersburg Art Center in West Virginia.

art studentTen WSCC students and alumni are presenting about twenty different pieces of artwork, including paintings, drawings, sketches, sculptures, and photography. The Parkersburg Art Center will have the exhibit start March 30th, running through April 28th. 

Several of the participating artists will attend the show’s premiere, along with WSCC Art Instructor John Crum. “This is a great opportunity for our students to show off their work and for the entire mid-Ohio valley community to see what WSCC has to offer,” says Crum.

The WSCC Student and Alumni Art Show premieres at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 30 in the Esbenshade Gallery of the Parkersburg Art Center (725 Market Street, Parkersburg WV).

Those with college credit, who are interested in transferring to a four-year college, can gain useful information at the Transfer Seminar hosted by Washington State Community College (WSCC). The Seminar is presented by Dick Poole, academic coordinator for WSCC's Learning Center, who says that it has helped potential transfer students in the past.

Spring Quarter Open Registration for all current and potential students begins today at Washington State Community College (WSCC). Spring Quarter classes begin Monday, March 26. The deadline for Spring Quarter Registration is Friday, March 30.
