MARIETTA, Ohio (September 10, 2014) – The Evergreen Arts & Humanities Series at Washington State Community College (WSCC) announces the Fall Semester Art Exhibit in conjunction with the fall slate of programs for its 16th season. The art exhibit features the works of Robert W. Smith, The Codger Lodge, and Leigh Cox. The exhibit displays beautiful paintings, hand-turned wooden bowls, and illustrations. Many of the pieces are for sale. The exhibit can be seen in the 2nd floor lobby and hall gallery of the WSCC Arts & Sciences Building. Washington State Community College (WSCC) will showcase the creativity, talent, and dedication of its current and former art students with the premiere of the WSCC Student and Alumni Art Show on Friday, March 30 at the Parkersburg Art Center in West Virginia.

art studentTen WSCC students and alumni are presenting about twenty different pieces of artwork, including paintings, drawings, sketches, sculptures, and photography. The Parkersburg Art Center will have the exhibit start March 30th, running through April 28th. 

Several of the participating artists will attend the show’s premiere, along with WSCC Art Instructor John Crum. “This is a great opportunity for our students to show off their work and for the entire mid-Ohio valley community to see what WSCC has to offer,” says Crum.

The WSCC Student and Alumni Art Show premieres at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 30 in the Esbenshade Gallery of the Parkersburg Art Center (725 Market Street, Parkersburg WV).
