Digital Technology: Interactive Digital Technology

Game and simulation technologies have become an integral part of our society in everything from training to Web-based game applications and Flash simulations. Interactivity and the visual interface are cornerstones to this field.

The simulation and game technology program is designed for students interested in learning how to make small games, interactive applications, front-end Web design, and computer programming.
Articulating to a 4-year course after completion of this associate's degree is highly recommended for this major.

PREPARATION: Students interested in the simulation and game technology program should be ready to take Precalculus I, PC Applications and Computer Graphics are prerequisites for other required courses. These courses can be taken before enrolling at Washington State or can be taken at Washington State.

Graduates will be able to achieve employment in positions such as: high-end Web designers, Internet advertising/marketing game designers; as assistants at a regional software/game company; instructional designer for a company or educational institution; or in a traditional programming position.
