As a Corrections major, you will be prepared for careers in probation, parole, correctional institutions, community-based correctional programs and social service agencies. Or, after you've earned your associates degree, you can transfer to a bachelor's degree program.
This program is designed to give you a solid knowledge of the three major elements of the criminal justice system - courts, corrections, and law enforcement. You will learn to effectively collaborate with each of those respective elements. You will also learn how to apply issues of criminal law and constitutional law to situations to ensure the preservation of the rights of citizens.
