Writing Lab

Academic Labs

In addition to individual and group tutoring, the Tutoring Program coordinates the campus Math and Science and Writing Labs.  The labs, located in the Learning Center, provide brief walk-in assistance and answers to your questions at no charge to students needing assistance with any math, science, or composition course offered at the college.

Lab hours are Monday through Thursday from 10:00-1:00 and 4:00-6:00 in the evening.

Online Tutoring

Washington State Community College uses eTutoring for many of the times when our labs or tutors may be unavailable.  Click here to check out the site!  Your login is your student ID number, and the password is WSCC123.

eTutoring allows you to submit your papers and get writing suggestions in 24 to 48 hours.  You can also check the schedule to find out when a math tutor might be on at the same time you are in order to answer your math questions.

If you're working late at night, or have a question not directly related to writing or math, you can still use Smarthinking for help.  Subjects are: Math, Introductory Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, and Spanish.

You can log on at http://www.smarthinking.com.  For your user name is wsccsmart, and the login is success.

  Group Study

Group Tutoring

If you find that you work really well with some of your classmates, you can all sign up for group tutoring sessions. Contact the academic coordinator for more information.
