Washington State Community College provides quality, affordable programming designed to inspire individual excellence and success. The Workforce Development Program was created to support this mission by working collaboratively with business and industry to build customized training solutions that meet their specific workforce needs. Our team is committed to providing high-value, high-quality training programs that facilitate the growth and development of the employees and businesses in our community. Chemical Operator Online

The Online Chemical Operator program is designed to familiarize participants with the processes used in a plant environment. The program is also effective in advancing the skills of current employees. Our program covers basic mechanical systems, fundamental safety, and health and environment issues. It also covers basic math and science, workplace communication, and computer/internet skills necessary for online learning. Successful completion of the 32-credit hour program will earn the participant an industry recognized Chemical Operator Certificate.

Registered Apprenticeship Program

Now offering customized Apprenticeship programs!

  • Up to $1,750 available for tuition
  • Up to $750 available to cover associated fees and/or supplies
  • Employers can choose 1 or more employees to participate in a program
  • Funded by a Department of Labor grant through a partnership with the ApprenticeOhio program
