New, First Time in College Student
Individuals seeking a degree or certificate, including:
- High school graduates
- Individuals that have received a GED
- Individuals without a GED or high school diploma/certificate
- Adults with no prior college classes
Students seeking a degree or certificate from Washington State that have:
- Attended another college or university
Visiting (or Personal Interest) Student
Individuals not seeking a degree or certificate from Washington State including:
- Students currently enrolled at another college or university planning to transfer Washington State courses back to their home institution
- Individuals interested in taking classes for personal interest or career development without the intent of receiving a degree or certificate
Individuals returning to Washington State after an absence of one year or more
Individuals that have been terminated, laid off, or received a "notice of termination or layoff" and are unlikely to return to your usual occupation or industry because of:

Pre-College Programs
Supplementing students’ academic experiences and providing college preparation, the precollege programs enrollment options include: Early Enrollment Program and Post-Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) program.
G.E.D and ABLE Program
Individuals interested in obtaining their G.E.D or getting help refreshing your skills. Free Adult Basic and Literacy Education Class information can be found by contacting Julie Stoffel at 1-740-568-1960 or 1-800-350-1242.
Lifelong Learning Students
Individuals who are 60 years or older who want to take classes free of charge.
*Admission and acceptance for select health programs require an additional application and are selective admissions.
