Washington State Bookstore

The Bookstore is located in the Main Building, next to the cafeteria, on the Washington State campus.

Bookstore Hours for Fall Quarter:

Monday-Thursday
7:30 am  to 7:00 pm
Friday
7:30 am to 3:00 pm

The Bookstore will not be open in the evening from December 7th - January 3rd.  Evening hours will resume on January 4th.

Before reading the following book list, PLEASE READ these reminders:

 

  • Prices and information change on a daily basis.
  • The information listed is not 100% complete.  This list is a work in progress.  Just because information is listed at this point in time, it does not mean that it won't change. The student must come to the store and look at the book shelves to ensure that they have the correct materials.
  • The Bookstore is not responsible if you receive an inaccurate price or book information. It is the students responsibility to come to campus and look at the book shelves to ensure that they have the correct materials.
  • The Bookstore has no control over the textbooks that are used in class.  Instructors change their book requests quite frequently and we are not always aware when this is going to happen.

Winter Quarter Charge Dates

Charges for Winter Quarter will be accepted December 14th-December 17th from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and December 18th from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm.

The last day to use a student account for Winter Quarter will be January 15th.

Any type of return (cash, check, credit card or student account must be made before January 15th.

INTERSESSION CHARGES

Students that are taking intersession courses during the break between Fall and Winter quarter may purchase their books November 30th & December 1st.  All purchases and returns must be made by December 1st.

*****IMPORTANT*****

The Bookstore will be installing a new point of sale system during the month of December.  As a result of this installation, the Bookstore will be closed December 7th-11th.  The Campus will be closed December 24th-January 1st.  This does not leave many days available for students to purchase their books for Winter Quarter.  If you are paying cash, check or credit card, you may pick up your books anytime that we are open for business during the month of December.  If you are using a student account, you may come in December 14th-18th and purchase your books.  If you do not pick up your books during the month of December, you will have to wait until the first day of the quarter and you will have to stand in extremely long lines.  Take advantage of the early charge dates so that you do not have to wait!!!

Bookstore Return Policy

The Bookstore accepts returns during the first 2 weeks of the quarter (excluding Summer). Returns will not be accepted past the second week. A receipt is required when making a return.  NO EXCEPTIONS! If a book is purchased after the second week of the quarter, it is a non-returnable purchase. Any shrink wrapped item must be in the original shrink wrap in order to be returned. Don't unwrap a book until you know you are keeping it. Once the wrap has been removed, we cannot take it back. Don't mark in any of your books until you are sure you are keeping them. if a book has been marked in, we cannot take it back. Returns will be completed in the same manner as original purchase. Example: Credit card purchase/ Credit card return.  If you write a check, you must wait 5 business days before we can do a return.  At the time of the return, depending on cash flow, we may not be able to give cash back immediately.  The Bookstore may need to request a check & it would be mailed to you in approximately 1 week.

Gas Card Information

  • Gas cards can be purchased on the Pell Grant and Student Loan. If you have any questions about this, please speak to someone in financial aid. The bookstore does not have any control over which accounts will pay for a gas card.
  • Gas card are available for students taking classes on campus.  Students taking classes online, do not qualify for gas card purchases.
  • Gas cards can be charged to a Pell Grant or a Student Loan through the first 2 weeks of each quarter. They cannot be charged to an account once the cut-off date has passed.
  • Gas cards can only be used for gas/fuel at a Speedway gas station. They cannot be used for store purchases.
  • Gas cards are non returnable/non refundable once they are purchased. NO EXCEPTIONS
  • It is the student's responsibility to ensure they have proper funds to cover all expenses including all required books and supplies before purchasing gas cards. If a student exceeds his or her credit limit, the Bookstore is not responsible if the student does not have the funds to purchase course required materials.
  • Purchasing gas cards will reduce the amount of the refund check that is distributed by the Business Office. It is the student's responsibility to plan his or her finances for each quarter.
