Learn the basics of tea and the history of tea drinking, cultivation and naming of tea varieties,

processing from picking to packaging along with proper brewing methods.  Participants will be preparing and serving an afternoon tea that includes beverages- hot and  cold, caffeine and herbal, scones with clotted cream, savories - traditional cucumber sandwiches, sweets – cookies and trifle.

Description:

Part I: During this session we will discuss the philosophy and application of herbal holistic health care and allopathic medicine as practiced in our country today. Various options for dealing with the common headache will be explored as well as exploring simple preparations typically included in an herbal first aid kit for home or on the road.

Part II: Recipes for making various herbal medicines will be shared to inspire participants to learn how to make their own teas, tinctures, liniments, oils, and salves. As a group we will engage in a simple triangle model used to guide beginners in the creation of synergistic blends for health and wellness.
