All students are expected to submit a Graduation Petition, signed by your academic advisor to the Records Office by February 21, 2014. Completing your Graduation Petition for when you plan to graduate is important for several reasons. It provides an opportunity to make sure that you have not overlooked or misunderstood any graduation requirements—and that you and degree auditors in the Records Office agree on how your courses fit division and college rules. Students must submit their graduation petition form to the Records Office by the following 2013-14 deadlines:
February 21st for a graduation in May 2015
June 20th for a graduation in August 2015
You may obtain a graduation petition form from the Records Office.
How do I petition?
Obtain a petition form from the Records Office.
Complete the petition with your academic advisor.
If you are enrolled in a dual degree/certificate program, you must complete a graduation petition form for each degree/certificate.
Return the completed and signed form to the Records Office.
Meeting with Advisor(s)
Students must meet with their academic advisor to receive approval of their graduation plan. Once approval is granted and review of degree requirements is completed, their advisor signs the graduation petition. Students should take the graduation petition to the Records Office.
Where to file Petition
Students should bring their signed petition to the Records Office.
Update Contact Information
Students should keep their address and phone numbers current in WEBADVISOR. Students should also regularly check their Washington State Community College student email account to view important messages, sent by the Records Office, regarding degree requirements and progress toward degree completion.
