WSCC Student Senate

About Student Senate

Student Senate is comprised of officers elected by the student body as well as club representatives. Student Senate meetings are held the first Monday of every month from 4-5pm in the Business Wing Conference Room. Every student who meets all academic regulations at Washington State Community College is eligible to participate in Student Senate.

Mission of Student Senate

The purpose of Student Senate at WSCC is to provide representation and responsible leadership in student life and activities. Student Senate assists the College in developing and implementing non-academic activities for students and is the central body through which all student organizations are coordinated.

Meet your WSCC Student Senate Officers

Stephanie Flanagan - President

My name is Stephanie (Bowes) Flanagan. I'm a mom of 5 children and a stepmom to 2. I stay busy but I wouldn't have it any other way! I'm starting my last semester at WSCC and will graduate with my Associate Degree in Accounting. I'm hoping to continue my education through the new agreement WSCC has with Marietta College and obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. I'm an open book for giving advice and hearing your ideas or opinions.

Rachael Rhodes - Vice President

I have gone to Washington State Community College for a year and a half now and will be graduating this Spring with my first two degrees in Liberal Arts and General Sciences.I will be transferring to Ohio University in the Fall of 2018 to continue my education as an English major, receiving my bachelor's degree before I receive my high school diploma. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa and have worked with the college as a student representative on multiple occasions. I hope to expand WSCC's Student Senate program and develop certain aspects and events held by the Student Senate during my term.
