The Washington State Community College Tutoring Program offers free individual and group tutoring to students in all subjects. Students having difficulty with coursework are encouraged to stop by the Center for Student Success as early in the term as possible for information about tutoring and other academic support services.

How to Get a Tutor

To request tutoring assistance, contact the A&S Center for Student Success by email at csauls@wscc.edu, call 740.568.1913 to make an appointment, or request a tutor online by clicking here.

Students can also stop by the Center for Student Success, Monday-Thursday 8:00 to 7:00, and Friday 8:00 to 4:30 for more information.

Becoming a Tutor

Interested students must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 and a "B" or higher in the course(s) to be tutored, or provide evidence of proficiency (i.e. completion of a higher level course in the subject). Tutor pay level is dependent upon credentials and experience with the program. A list of established employment levels and corresponding hourly pay rates are available upon request.

Group Tutoring

If you find that you work really well with some of your classmates, you can all sign up for group tutoring sessions. Contact the Transition Coordinator in the CSS for more information.
