In the Safety Committee minutes last week, you may have seen a reference to new soap dispensers being installed. The soap dispensers are being provided by one of the custodial supplies vendor at no charge to the College. These units use liquid, dispensed as foam instead of straight liquid soap. The bag of chemicals needs changed less often, which streamlines this task for maintenance. |

This is a one year grant which requires a 50% match. If we submit a project with a $150,000 budget we will receive $100,000 in ARC funds and must match with $50,000. HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Parade-watchers in Marietta on November 27, and in Vienna on December 11 will see Washington State represented by a winner! The automotive services and diesel systems program will represent the College with entry of the #18 Dana Racing Dodge Ram truck that is on loan to the program. Two of the program's students will be aboard, along with Bob Feathers.
The truck won the Florida Dodge Dealers 250 Craftsman Truck Series race at Daytona in 2001 after earning a pole position start. It will have a much slower run in the parades, actually being towed.
The one-year loan provides an opportunity for students in the program to work with performance equipment. It also is an attraction that is being used in recruiting efforts. The truck, which was loaned along with the trailer and tow truck to transport it, has been taken to a number of local schools and more are on the schedule.
The Marietta Christmas Parade begins at 1:00 p.m. on November 27 and the Vienna Parade gets underway at 11:00 a.m. |
