The Program

The Electrical Engineering Technology Istrumentation, Control & Electrical (ICE) program is designed to produce graduates ready to take on local manufacturing or power plant industries at an entry-level position. All Electrical Engineering Technology majors have been designed to meet the needs of area industry. The job market, however, is wide open for the technician with dedication and initiative. The Electrical Engineering Technology ICE program focuses on preparing a student to work as an Instrumentation & Control Technician. 

Program Objectives

  • To prepare students for entry-level positions with business and industrial employers in the surrounding region who require the skills of Electrical Engineering Technicians.
  • To develop student proficiency in the use of appropriate equipment typically used by engineering technicians, such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, function generators, etc.

Degree

Successful completion of the Electrical Engineering Technology ICE program leads to the Associate of Applied Science degree.
