Youth Academy

The WSCC Youth Academy is for high school student interested in exploring a career in law enforcement or related field. Each summer we host a select group of students entering grades 9-12 at our Criminal Justice Youth Academy.

For one week you will get a hands-on view of the local, state, and federal criminal justice system and its procedures. The camp includes experience in a variety of police functions, that may include supervised firearms training, physical conditioning, field trips and guest speakers and evidence collection.

The Criminal Justice Youth Academy is NOT a disciplinary, recreational or underprivileged camp, rather it is simply part of the summer camp program at WSCC. However, in order to be selected to participate in the camp, you are required to submit a letter (up to 250 words) explaining why you should be chosen.
