Dr. George H. McAfee graduated from Washington State College of Ohio in 1987 with an Associates of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering Technology degree. He received a Bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University in 1992, a Master's degree from University of Findley in 1996, and a Ph.D. from the California Intercontinental University in 2011. Dr. McAfee is the recipient of the 2014 Washington State College of Ohio Distinguished Alumni Award for Outstanding Professional Achievement through his pursuit of enterprise-wide operational excellence and is recognized as a passionate leader driven to excel and inspire others to reach their potential.

Susan D. Strauss graduated from Washington State College of Ohio in 1993 with an Associate of Individual Studies degree, majoring in Secretarial Science. She is the recipient of the 2014 Washington State College of Ohio Distinguished Alumni Award for Outstanding Community Service. Susan receives this award in recognition of her passion, enthusiasm, and dedication reflected in a lifetime of community service to a variety of community organizations including MOV Dragon Boat, Marietta Welfare League, Bright Pink, her church, and many personal kindnesses to benefit others
