9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

National Day of Service & Remembrance Event

Students, Faculty/Staff, and community members are invited to gather at Washington State Community College to honor our local First Responder and Veteran heroes and to commemorate the 18th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks as part of the September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance.

The ceremony will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 11th at 10:30 a.m. on the front lawn of the WSCC campus, and will include presentations by the Marietta High School Vocal Point Choir, The Marine Corps League Sgt. Bob O’Malley Detachment 1436, The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5108 and The American Legion Post 64. Ceremony will be led by Hannah Kitchen (AmeriCorps College Guide) and speakers will be Senator Frank Hogland, Mayor Matthews of Marietta and Tiffany Jarvis a former WSCC student and EMT First Responder. Light refreshments to follow ceremony.
