MARIETTA, OHIO—In following with Ohio Governor Mike Dewine’s directive, Career Connect Job Fair has been postponed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
Career Connect, the area’s largest job fair, was expected to attract more than 1,500 job seekers, students, and educational institutions, as well as more than 150 employers.
Key stakeholders involved, Marietta College, Washington State Community College, Washington County Career Center, Building Bridges to Careers, Washington County Jobs and Family Services, and Ohio Means Jobs, decided to postpone the event.
Because Career Connect is a valuable event for the economy of the Mid-Ohio Valley, the decision was made to postpone rather than cancel. Later dates, as well as ways to virtually connect employers with potential employees, are currently under review as options for the event. As decisions are made, updates will be posted on CareerConnectMOV.org.
