HOMEMAKER PERSONAL CARE (HPC)

Part-Time positions available in the following counties: Athens, Gallia, Jackson, Meigs, Ross, Washington, and Vinton.

Qualifications for all HPC positions:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid drivers license with less than 6 points
  • Valid vehicle insurance
  • Able to pass a BCI and FBI background check

Job Description

MALE YOUTH SPECIALIST I: Afternoon Shift

General Job Description:

Under the general supervision of Case Managers, Youth Specialists directly supervise and record all daily youth activities. Youth Specialists supervise such activities as wake-up, bedtime, meals, school preparation and attendance, personal hygiene care, recreational activities, community service and restitution, medication administration, daily chores, and any other activity for personal care or outlined in their individual rehabilitation plan. He performs any other related duties as required.

This position requires a male to fill the role, due to working directly with male youth.

Pay Rate for this position begins at $17.00 per hour. Upon successful completion of a probationary period, employees are moved to Youth Specialist II that includes a wage adjustment.

Ohio Public Employee Retirement and Health Insurance available.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2-year college degree with experience working with youth. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Specific Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

· Facilitate groups.

· Work with other staff to ensure that the youth remain safe and secure at all times.

· Transport youth in facility vehicles as needed.

· Assure that the rooms, living units, and common areas of the facility are properly maintained in order to maintain high standards of health and safety.

· Utilize positive reinforcement to support behavioral objectives.

Must be able to work any shift.

Please Note that we are a 24 hour 7 days a week facility, housing both male and female residents, and you may be asked to fill in for a different shift.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
