Washington State College of Ohio (WSCO) Board of Trustees swore in its newest member, Jodey L. Altier.

MARIETTA, OHIO—Washington State College of Ohio (WSCO) Board of Trustees swore in its newest member, Jodey L. Altier, during its scheduled meeting on Monday afternoon.

Altier was appointed by Governor Mike DeWine. She is the President of Perry and Associates Certified Public Accountants. She obtained her certified public accountant credentials from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, she earned a certification in financial forensics in 2015. Altier graduated summa cum laude from Ohio University with bachelor’s degrees in accounting and psychology.

“It’s an honor to accept the appointment to the Board of Trustees of Washington State College of Ohio,” said Altier. “I’m very excited to work with Dr. Wood and the other distinguished Trustees.  WSCO is a tremendous asset for our community and I want to help in any way I can to grow, enhance and leverage such an incredible organization.”

Altier’s distinguished career in public accounting began at Price Waterhouse Coopers LLC. She has provided litigation support in the areas of fraud and forensic financial reporting to many local governments and attorneys. She also serves on the Peer Review Committee of Ohio and performs peer reviews and quality control training and consultation to public accounting firms in Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland.

“As a community leader who has built a successful business, Ms. Altier will be an asset to our board,” said WSCO President Dr. Vicky Wood.  She has employed several of our graduates and has experienced our quality academic programs and student success. Now as a board member, she will be actively involved in helping us continue our work and move the college forward.”

The WSCO Board of Trustees is comprised of electors who reside in Washington or Morgan counties. The current board includes Bernie Anderson, Chair; Randall Barengo, Vice Chair; Daniel Pennock; David Vandenberg; and Susan Vessels.
