MARIETTA, OH —Washington State College of Ohio (WSCO) awarded 50 area high school graduates with institutional scholarships to attend WSCO this fall.  Recipients represent 22 high schools from both Ohio and West Virginia.

“We are proud to honor the academic achievements and dedication of these outstanding students,” said Washington State College of Ohio President Dr. Vicky Wood. “Scholarships not only provide educational opportunities, they serve as a pathway to rewarding careers that ultimately enrich and impact our communities.”

In total, the merit-based scholarships awarded are valued at $163,500 over two years. With the exception of the one-time-award Opportunity Scholarship, all are paid over two years. Washington State will welcome the scholarship winners to campus when classes begin on August 15. Currently, the college is registering students for the fall semester.
