Did you know that WV residents don’t necessarily have to pay out-of-state tuition rates? That’s right. Depending on the degree or certificate you decide to pursue, you could pay in-state tuition rates thanks to an agreement we have with West Virginia University - Parkersburg (WVU-P). We call it reciprocity and WVU-P does the same for Ohio residents.

Programs available for West Virginia residents

West Virginia residents who live in Brooke, Hancock, Jackson, Marshall, Ohio, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Tyler, Wetzel, Wirt and Wood Counties, you are eligible for our low in-state tuition when you enroll at Washington State in any of the following programs:

Programs available for Ohio residents

Residents of Athens, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Noble, and Washington Counties in Ohio will pay West Virginia resident tuition when they enroll in any of the following programs at WVU-P:

  • B.A.S. - Any Concentration
  • Board of Governors Associate of Applied Sciences
  • B.S. - Business Administration
  • C.A.S./A.A.S. - Child Development
  • A.A.S. - Computer Science
  • A.A.S. - Digital Communications
  • A.A.S. - Drafting (3-D Modeling & Simulation Design)
  • B.A. - Elementary Education
  • B.A.T. - Bachelor of Applied Technology
  • C.A.S. - Industrial Maintenance Technology
  • A.A.S. - Legal Studies
  • A.A.S. - Multi-Craft Technology
  • B.A. - Multidisciplinary Studies
  • B.S. - Nursing (RN to BSN)
  • Regents Bachelor of Arts
  • A.A.S. - Technical Studies
