Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA) Occupational therapy assistants use therapeutic interventions to facilitate recovery of clients and patients, so that they can return to functional and independent living. They use their skills to help them recover, improve and maintain their abilities in the areas of daily living skills, home management, school and work. Occupational therapy assistants spend much of their time on their feet, setting up equipment and providing occupational therapy to their clients.
