MARIETTA, Ohio (November 1, 2018) – The Mid-Ohio Valley Veterans Outreach (MOVVO) in partnership with Washington State College of Ohio (WSCO), will host a FREE Veterans Resource Fair on Thursday, November 15 from 4 pm to 7 pm.

This annual event is designed to educate Veterans on the benefits and resources available to them. Organizations from throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley will be present to provide assistance and answer questions about the vast array of resources available to Veterans, including Veterans Affairs, Ohio and West Virginia Veteran Service officers, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and The Vet Center.

“This is an excellent opportunity to network with the Mid-Ohio Valley Veterans community while interacting with the local Veterans service organizations such as the American Legion, AMVETS, DAV, Marine Corps League, MOVVO, VFW, GY6V.com, and Got Your Six,” said Jared Smith of the Mid-Ohio Valley Veterans Outreach (MOVVO).

There will also be two mobile clinics–the VET Center will provide mental health counseling for eligible Veterans and the Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Mobile Clinic will provide Veterans already enrolled into VA Healthcare with a free flu shot. Those Veterans that are not already enrolled with the opportunity to register for VA Healthcare and receive health screenings.

Smith reminded that while Veterans are not required to bring their DD214 and/or VA ID card, they will want to have them available if they plan to take advantage of some of the services offered at the Veterans Resource Fair.

The event will be held on the campus of WSCO in the Commons area of the Main Building on Thursday, November 15 from 4 pm to 7 pm. Questions about the Resource Fair or about MOVVO can be directed to Jared Smith at 740.398.4584.

The evening will include a free meal provided by the local VFW Post 5108 with beverages contributed by American Legion Post 64. There will also be door prizes donated by local businesses from throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley.
