Making a gift to the Washington State College of Ohio Foundation is just one way that you can have a positive impact on the lives of our students, faculty, staff, and the community at large.

Established in 2003, the WSCO Foundation was created to support the College's mission and institutional goals through philanthropic support.

With the help of a dedicated Board of Directors, loyal alumni, donors, friends, and volunteers, the Foundation has developed funding streams that provide essential financial support for the College and its students.

In 2021-22 gifts from donors like you awarded nearly $200,000 in scholarships to worthy students, and provided over $150,000 to support College programs and departments and to give a special helping hand to students who were facing unexpected crises.

Whatever your area of interest and level of support, giving to the WSCO Foundation will make a difference in the lives of our students and futures of their families.

Our Funding Priorities

Every gift to the WSCO Foundation will make a difference in the lives of our students, their families and the community. Below are some key areas that will benefit from your investment.

Food Pantry: The WSCO Food Pantry distributes nutritious emergency food to students and their families.

President’s Fund: Allows President Vicky Wood to direct resources to support student access and success, and to give momentum to cutting-edge initiatives that advance the College’s mission and create lasting change.

Gifts in support of the Greatest Need: Provides important operating support for the Foundation, supports critical areas of need for the College, and enables the College to seize opportunities that offer exceptional educational value.

Student Scholarships: Our flagship program, scholarships provide important financial support for students in need.

Student Emergency Fund: Provides financial assistance to students that face unexpected challenges, and helps keep at-risk students on campus and completing their degrees.

Departmental Support: Provides financial support for departments and programs including equipment, supplies, travel, professional development, and more.

Make a Permanent Impact with an Endowed Scholarship

You don’t have to be a millionaire to create a lasting legacy for students at Washington State College of Ohio. For a minimum of $10,000 you can create an endowed scholarship which will provide a self-sustaining, perpetual source of funding to provide permanent impact on our students and the College.

An endowed scholarship can be created with a lump-sum donation of $10,000 or more, or you may establish the scholarship initially as a cash scholarship and pledge to contribute a designated amount over a specific number of years until the principle reaches the endowment level, at which time the scholarship will be self-sustaining.

Contact the Foundation at 740.885.5706 or foundation@wscc.edu for more information on how you can create this lasting legacy.
